About

The Russian ruble is made up of 100 kopeks. It’s one of the world’s oldest organized currencies and was the first to become decimalized in the early 18th century. The ruble has kept its name through the country’s many changes. The Russian ruble replaced the Soviet ruble in the early 1990s, with banknotes depicting the country’s most notable landmarks including the Bolshoi Theatre and Vostochny Cosmodrome.
