For Ria: The recipient will need the PIN and valid photo ID
For Western Union: Tell the recipient the 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and the amount – they’ll also need photo ID.
About Honduran currency
The currency in Honduras is the Honduran lempira (HNL). It is named after the 16th-century ruler of the indigenous Lenca people and replaced the peso in 1931. Exchanging US dollars to Honduran lempira is common for people with central American connections.
