In order to make a payment to an inmate from Money Services you’ll need to make note of a few things so we have all the information we need to help you send money.

  • Inmate’s name. The first and last name of the inmate you’re funding.

  • Inmate’s correctional ID. The ID number of the inmate you’d like to send money to.

  • Facility name. The name of the correctional facility where they are located.

  • Facility code. The identification code for the facility you’re sending money to.

  • Your full name. Your first and last name, for identification purposes.

Do I need to notify the prison / correctional facility?

You do not need prior approval from the correctional facility if you want to send money to an inmate. However, some states do not allow you to send money to more than one inmate at a time without getting permission beforehand. You can’t bring money with you to give someone during a visit.
