What do you need

To help us complete your money transfer as soon as possible, please bring:

  • The recipient’s name (ensure that name exactly matches the recipient’s ID) and location
  • Enough money to cover the amount you want to send – cash or debit card is fine
  • Funds to cover the fee
  • Valid Photo ID

How to Send In-Person at a Money Services Location

Send while you shop! Make face-to-face money transactions at your local Money Services location to send money internationally or transfer within the US.

Follow these simple steps:

  • Find your nearest Money Services using our store locator

  • Provide the receiver’s name, location and the amount you want to send to the store associate

  • Choose Ria or Western Union to deliver your money transfer

  • Select cash pick-up or bank deposit delivery option

  • Pay the fee* + transfer amount and present your valid photo ID, if required

  • For Ria: The recipient will need the PIN and valid photo ID

  • For Western Union: Provide the receiver with the 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and the amount so they can pick up the cash – they’ll need a photo ID that matches the receiver name to collect payment


How to Send Money Online

Visit your local Money Services to send birthday money to your friends and loved ones. Send money conveniently from your mobile, tablet or desktop computer. With Money Services, powered by Western Union, you can send money online across the United States or virtually anywhere around the world.

Send in a few easy steps:

  • Log into the Western Union® platform

  • Set up your money transfer with your receiver and payment information and select “Send”

  • Your money is on its way! You will receive the tracking number (MTCN) onscreen and via email to share with the receiver


How to Start Online, Pay In-Store

Prefer to pay in cash? Start your money transfer online at your convenience and pay in-store at any Money Services location nationwide.

Getting started is easy, just:

  • Log into the Western Union® platform

  • Set up your money transfer and select “Pay in-store”

  • Enter the receiver information and follow prompts for staging your transfer

  • Visit your Money Services location with your phone number, valid ID and payment within 12 hours of staging online

  • The money is on its way – just share the tracking number (MTCN) with your receiver

Service and funds availability depends on certain factors including the Service selected, the selection of delayed delivery options, special terms applicable to each Service, amount sent, destination country, currency availability, regulatory issues, consumer protection issues, identification requirements, delivery restrictions, agent location hours, and differences in time zones (collectively, “Restrictions”).

**Fee reductions apply only to the Western Union transfer fee for a single Western Union Money Transfer or Quick Collect transaction. Points used will not be reversible and if amount of transfer fee is less than redeemed discount, no cash, credit or refund will be provided.
