Can I check the status of a bill payment?
With Money Services, many billers provide a confirmation number as proof of payment. However, you will need to contact your biller to check when your payment has been credited to your account, as we don’t have access to this kind of information.
Can you take a shut-off notice for my bill?
The availability of this option varies by biller, see your Money Services associate for details.
How fast can I send payment for my bill?
The amount of time it takes your bill to post varies by biller. Some bills paid at Money Services post the same day the payment is processed and arrive with your biller almost immediately. Others can take up to three business days. Check with us at Money Services for delivery options on your specific bill.
Which billers can I pay?
Money Services is a one-stop shop where you can pay all types of bills from thousands of different billers, local and national. Whether you need to pay your electric bill, your internet, or make a car payment, or pay your rent or mortgage, your friendly Money Services team can help.
We have over 15,000 available billers at Money Services. These include cable, credit cards, gas, electric, phone and many more, so you can pay many different bills in just one visit to your local grocery store. *To pay on a credit card bill, please bring your credit card to Money Services.

How do I know if a biller has received my payment?
Money Services associates do not have access to your account information, so if you want to check that your payment has been applied to your account, you’ll need to contact your biller directly.
Many billers provide a confirmation number on the receipt as proof of payment, which you’ll need to keep hold of in case you need to refer back to your bill at a later date.

How can I protect myself from fraud?
Always think carefully about who and where you’re sending your money. You should only send cash to friends and family you know and trust. Never send money to someone you’ve not met, or for an unconfirmed emergency or circumstance.
At Money Services, we want to help you protect your money and credentials. It’s advised that you should not proceed with a money transfer in the following circumstances:
- Paying for a purchase you’ve already made online.
- Transferring money for anti-virus protection software.
- Paying to claim lottery or prize winnings.

What is the maximum check cashing amount?
Check cashing with Money Services is simple and hassle-free, and we can accept checks up to the value of up to $5,000. Fees* for cashing checks start at $3 with a Shopper’s Card, for checks up to $2,000. Fees* for checks between $2,000.01 and $5,000 start at $5.50 with a Shopper’s Card.

Where can I cash a check on a Sunday?
You can cash your check on Sunday at many Money Services locations. At Money Services, we find it important you have the freedom to cash your checks at a time and place convenient for you. That’s why many of our stores are open seven days a week and during most holidays, too. We are generally open from 8am-8pm, but operating hours may vary depending on your location.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a business check or a refund check; our team will be happy to process your check efficiently and reliably.
How do I get a money order at Money Services?
Most Kroger Family of Stores offer money orders. Fill out out the payee’s name and your address and sign the money order. Once you’ve filled in the details, you can send it. Make sure to keep the bottom portion of the money order as proof you’ve sent it, should any problems arise. The receipt will have a tracking number on it that you can use to verify that the payee received the money you sent.
Do money orders have an expiration date?
No, they don’t. However, you may have a non-refundable service charge deducted from the total amount if you don’t use the money order within a certain timeframe. Usually, that period is between one and three years. Any penalties depend on the laws in the state where the money order was purchased.
You can find the terms and conditions of your money order listed on the back, so make sure you check any limits placed on yours to avoid paying a charge.
If your money order is subject to a non-refundable service charge, you won’t be able to present the order for payment after the specified time. Your order will come back to you unpaid, and you’ll need to request a refund for the balance remaining.

What are the fees to send money?

What are the options to receive money?
At Money Services we make it easy for your friends and family to pick up money. Depending on which country you’re sending money to, they can receive the money in a few ways, including:
- In person. They can visit their local Money Services or any participating Western Union or Ria agent location to pick up money.
- Directly into a qualifying bank account.
To collect the money in person, your receiver will need to bring:
- A government-issued ID
- The Money Transfer control number (MTCN) for Western Union or the pin number for Ria

How long does it take for the money to become available for pick-up?
When sending money to be picked up as cash, the time it takes to receive it can vary based on the country the money is being sent to, and depending on which Ria or Western Union service you have chosen.
With Ria and Western Union you can send money to be picked up at over 500,000 agent locations worldwide. The receiver will need to bring the tracking number (MTCN) or pin number and a current ID.

What information do I need to pick up money that was sent to me?
At Money Services picking up money you’re sent is easy. Stop by your local Money Services, and one of our store associates will be happy to help. Alternatively, you can visit any participating Western Union agent location.
To pick up your funds you will need to know your tracking number (MTNC) or pin number for Ria. You will also need to provide a valid form of ID such as a Driver’s License or State issued ID, Military ID, US Passport, Matricula Consular ID or Resident Alien IDs.
