What you need to know
Once you know how it works, it’s easy to get started. Find your nearest Money Services location and one of our friendly store associates will help you. They’ll need to know the receiver’s name, location, and the amount you want to send them to set up the transfer. Then, you’ll need to choose how and when the receiver receives the fund, as well as pay any fees.
After the money transfer has been processed, the associate will give you a unique ten-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). Make sure to share this with the receiver as they’ll need it, as well as photo ID, to access the money.
How much does it cost to send money?
Depending on what state you live in, the fees and limits for purchasing a money order can vary.
You can buy a money order from your local Money Services, located in the Kroger Family of Stores. Bring the amount you want to send plus extra cash for the fees into store.
